Welcome to my about me page, where I will inform you a bit about the man behind this website and what it is I want to achieve with this small side-project, that is called michalis.chatzimichalis.org.uk.
I’m a 22 year old IT apprentice, who grew up in Wolverhampton (UK) to Greek parents. I moved to a beautiful country called Switzerland in August of 2011 because of job-related issues with my parents. Since then I would like to say, that I’ve mastered the German language, as well as someone who didn’t know a drop of German can.
My line of work is in the IT sector, as an apprentice specialising in system engineering. Simultaneously while working for WALO Bertschinger AG for the final 2 years of a 4-year apprenticeship, I go to a vocational school and also one that has put me on a trajectory into pursuing higher education, named TBZ (Technische Berufsschule Zürich) and BMS Zürich (Berufsmaturitätsschule Zürich) respectively. For the first 2 years I worked at a wonderful consulting firm named INFRAS AG in Zürich.
I like to spend my free time working on side projects, like this website or constantly finding ways to breathe new life in my household with a Raspberry Pi, Cloud Computing and IoT devices. Work-related topics aside, I have been an avid Liverpool fan since I could remember, thanks to my dad. Basketball was also a sport in which he showed and taught me how to play as a kid, which I still do till this day as captain of my local, regional team.
My end goal with this website is really to have a creative outlet for any work- or personal-related blogs/pictures/documentations.
